Hardenburgh - Beaverkill Region Trail Rehabilitation Project

Sat, May 18 and Sun, May 19

• Restore the Mongaup-Hardenburg Trail from Beaverkill Road to Sand Pond Mountain by cutting overgrowth and clearing debris and blowdowns from the trail corridor. Hike 5-7 miles and perform moderately strenuous work at a comfortable pace.

• Meet at Little Pond Campground and carpool to the work location.
  Campground location: 42°02'15.8"N 74°44'37.6"W
  Trailhead location: 42°00'44.7"N 74°37'21.5"

• Meeting time: 8:30 AM.

• End time: 4:30 PM, approximate.

• If you would like to camp out, some crew members are staying at the campground. You can reserve a spot here - Little Pond Campground

MANDATORY:  Bring water, work gloves, snacks for break time and your lunch.

Safety glasses are required. Please bring those if you have them. If you do not have your own, they will be provided. Also recommended: long sleeve shirt, long pants and sturdy shoes/work boots.

All Volunteers will receive Catskills Trail Crew merch for working:

• 1 day: Sticker and Pin
• 2 days: Patch
• 3 days: T-Shirt

A $50 Camp Catskill store gift certificate will be raffled off at the end of each workday! Maximum one gift certificate per volunteer.
